Beginnings

5:00am Wide awake

5:30am Still wide awake, stupid TV turns on. I hate that. Hubby turns off TV while still mostly asleep.

5:45am Decide I'm not going to get back to sleep anytime soon. Get up and head into Great Room to watch TV.

7:27am DVR mostly cleared off of stuff hubby won’t watch, sleepy. Cat won’t snuggle on couch. Sun coming up. Decide to go back to bed.

7:28am Hubby awake in bedroom, on eBay (guessing) using iPodTouch. Stupid TV back on. Crawl back in bed to warm up.

8:32am Fully awake. Not sure if I slept, but feel marginally less tired, and hot.

9:20am Out of shower, strange noises coming from kitchen. Must investigate.

9:34am Dressed and headed to kitchen. Hubby is making muffins for breakfast. Mentally scratch head and wonder if I entered alternate universe when I got up second time. Look around kitchen to discover it is still mess. Take over muffin making from hubby. Bless him, but he doesn’t bake well. Doesn’t put love into muffins like I would.

10:17am Muffins baked, kiddo being brat. Send her to room to clean big mess. Will send in Sherpa to find her if no noises in an hour. Decide to go shopping.

4:ish pm Make kiddo run on treadmill. Decide now is time to get in shape for vacation in August.

5:ish pm Decide today is first day of rest of life. Will eat better, exercise more, cook dinner, plan meals, and stick to budget. Will be able to make 16 mile trek during vacation without killing self/others. Decide Step 1 is work out. Get workout clothes on and become masochist. Decide that lazy self can handle 45 min workout: 4 min walk, 1 min run. Repeat. Was wrong. Did best. Ran for total of 6 min. Still did 45 min workout. Hot and sweaty.

6:ish pm Begin process of sending Kiddo to bed.

7:30ish pm Hubby starts treadmill run.

8:05pm Kiddo finally goes to bed.

8:38pm Decide should make dinner. Make hubby grilled cheese sammich. Reheat leftover CFA for self.

9:47pm Decide bedtime. Take shower. Crash.
